Bora Bora / Tahiti Travel–Bahumbug

Taking a trip to Bora Bora was not a thing that I wanted to do. You see, I care more for non tropical locations and felt that this would be a very humidly sticky situation. I felt I would regret it. Lets take out the 8 hrs that is takes to get to to Tahiti from Los Angeles.  And the additional hour it takes to get to Bora Bora from the Tahitian island. Take away the 4 hours worth of layovers that you will have to endure. And the un-comfortableness of the flights (unless you’re in first/business class). Coupled with sub-par food options, like anyone, I was a downer on the trip all together.

The ONLY cool factor that I  might have been looking towards would have been the over-the-water huts that looked really cool in the pictures. But even then I though to myself After you look at it once its pretty much over.

Bora Bora Travel–Experience

While in Bora Bora for our 6 day stay we really tried to get the most out of it. On day one we really just took in the facility. The facility itself (Le Meridien Bora Bora) was not that big but had 2 restaurants and 2 bars. You could also take a boat into town and have dinner on the main island. I was not aware of the iconic movie that was attached to the Bloody Mary’s (popular bar on the island).

We were able to go snorkeling off of our room…as all of the Over-the-water Bungalows have a deck to jump off of. We also went on a deep sea snorkeling adventure as well as a 4×4 off-road excursion that was very informative of the area. This particular resort was were white glove in terms of the service. We really felt that all of our desires and request were met and we would definitely go again.
